Sun Dojo is a family-oriented Martial Arts Center in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn. We offer fun, safe and effective Martial Training for Adults and Juniors. Our adult programs include Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well as non-contact Fitness training. Located in Windsor Terrace, we are steps away from the F and G Train – easily accessible from Park Slope, Kensington, Ditmas Park, Sunset Park & Lefferts Gardens.
Our Juniors Programs offers a complete self-defense system combining Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, Bully-proofing and character development. This program is available for Juniors ages 6 – 12.
We also offer Brooklyn Ninja training that utilizes monkey bars, rings, balance rails, ropes & more for a full body & mind workout. We offer Ninja training for Juniors ages 4 – 12.

Introductory lessons in Kickboxing, Jiu Jitsu and Juniors Martial Arts are $29.95 and includes a uniform that can be worn in class.

What is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu?
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a proven form of self-defense that is utilized by the military and law enforcement to effectively control and subdue someone with minimal force. Not only for physical benefit, Jiu Jitsu can greatly decrease stress and improve focus. These are life skills that everyone can benefit from learning.
Do I need prior experience?
No, Jiu Jitsu is for everyone. We love beginners!
Do I need to be in shape to start training?
You do not need to be in shape to get in shape. The basic classes are designed to get you in shape physically, emotionally and mentally.
Am I too old to get started?
No, everyone can benefit from better fitness and self-defense. We even have members in their 70s. This system can be taught to anyone regardless or age, gender, size and prior experience.
Will I get hurt?
Like in any exercise there is always some risk of injury. Safety is our main concern and we have systems in place to minimize injuries. We actually see more injuries from people running and sitting at their desks than from their training. Jiu Jitsu fosters natural movements that promote longevity. The Masters Carlos Gracie Sr. and Helio Gracie trained well into their 90’s.

Yes, your Program Director will go over the details after your Introductory lesson.
What is the tuition for classes?
After your first Introductory Lesson, you will sit down with a program director and go over the classes and schedule. We work with you to find the best program that suits your needs. There is no obligation to join after the Introductory lesson.
